Lake Skadar is a place where wild nature, rich history, and opportunities for active recreation come together, attracting thousands of tourists and investors. More than 190,000 tourists visit it every year.
The lake is a national park covering 370 km², home to 280 species of birds, including rare Dalmatian pelicans. The reservoir is recognized as an important ornithological area in Europe and is included in the list of Ramsar wetlands of international importance.

There are more than 15 hiking trails around the lake, including routes to the Nikšić waterfall and the Vranina peak.
